The City of Chaffee Police Department is accepting applications for a full-time Police Communications Officer.
This position serves as the primary point of contact for emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatches police officers, maintains radio communications, and performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
☑️ High school diploma or GED required
☑️ Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills
☑️ Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
☑️ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
☑️ Previous dispatch, customer service, clerical, or public safety experience preferred but not required
☑️ Ability to type accurately and efficiently
Requirements:
☑️ Pass a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening
☑️ Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
☑️ Willingness to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
☑️ Ability to obtain and maintain required state certifications

The City of Chaffee is accepting applications for a full-time Public Works Employee.
This position assists with the maintenance and operation of the City's streets, water and wastewater systems, public buildings, cemetery, and other City facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
☑️ Experience in construction, utilities, street maintenance, or public works preferred
☑️ Ability to operate or learn to operate heavy equipment
☑️ Valid Missouri driver's license required (CDL preferred)
☑️ Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions
☑️ Strong work ethic, dependability, and teamwork skills
☑️ Mechanical experience or water/wastewater certifications are a plus
Requirements:
☑️ Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
☑️ Available for after-hours emergency call-outs and occasional weekend work
